Theft, Fraud Suspect Sought PDF Print

Watauga County Crimestoppers and Boone Police seek the public’s assistance in solving the following crime: On Sunday March 5 at approximately 5:00 p.m. a vehicle was broken into and a purse taken at Chilis restaurant in Boone.  A short time later, a male suspect attempted to use a credit card from the stolen purse at the nearby Walmart.  The same suspect is sought in connection with another vehicle break in and larceny in Blowing Rock.  The suspect is a white male who was wearing flip-flop style sandals, jeans, a black zip up jacket, and a plaid ball cap.  He was seen driving a light silver or grey four door sedan. Anyone with information on this crime or any other crime is asked to call Crimestoppers at 828-268-6959.  All information will be kept confidential. Crimestoppers pays rewards for information, which leads to arrests; recovery of stolen property; seizure of drugs and the location of wanted persons.
