More major hikes in gas prices across the region yesterday—10-cent per gallon in some places between the morning commute and the afternoon. Wilkesboro saw the largest gyrations during the day yesterday, with morning commuters who did not get gas finding gas prices up a dime a gallon by the afternoon ride home.  Lenoir saw an average 5-cent per gallon increase, according to our Foothills Radio stations.  High Country stations did not see such increases—yesterday—but it may be that our gas shipments—at higher prices—haven’t yet arrived.  With that observation, the best advice may be to buy low every time you see the lowest price on your route—and we need you to continue to pass along the prices you see in your High Country travels.
