A woman was seriously hurt in a motorcycle-car crash at about 11 this morning in Boone.

Watauga Medics and Boone Fire carefully moved the 20-year-old Megan Deal onto a backboard for transport to Watauga Medical Center while Jacob Praxco, also 20, the driver was treated on the scene for a slight head injury. He later sought treatment at Watauga Medical Center. The Gas tank was torn from the cycle by the impact with a Ford sedan, that was waiting to turn onto Horn in the West Drive, just past the NC 105 extension on King Street.  Boone Police are investigating.
