![]() The Appalachian State University women's basketball team is the No.1 overall seed going into the Southern Conference tournament which begins Thursday in Chattanooga. The Mountaineers (23-5) won the regular season championship with a 17-3 record. ASU will receive a first-round bye and won't play until Friday morning. The Mountaineers will play the winner of Thursday's second game between Davidson and the College of Charleston. Appalachian's game on Friday tips off around 11:30 am. Our coverage begins at 11 am on Oldies 100.7 FM. Samford, which was swept by ASU this season, is the No.2 seed.The women's finals will be played Monday afternoon, March 7 at 4 pm.
