The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce celebrated 2010 while looking forward to 2011 at their 24th Awards Banquet at Chetola Tuesday—the first luncheon in the history of the event. Awards included the Holiday Inn Express for New Construction/renovation; Ensemble Stage for Cultural Enrichment; Blowing Rock Methodist for Service to the Community; The Green Business Award went to Canyons; and in a break in the business awards, Billie Rodgers presented the Volunteer of the Year to Melissa Pickett, and Executive Director Charles Hardin recognized past President Nancy Santay.  Santay thanked everyone for helping her personally and for helping the Chamber through a tough year. 
Finally, the Business of the year—Westglow Spa, awarded the prestigious Relais & Chateaux ranking—one of only 500 world-wide, now the Blowing Rock Chamber Business of the Year.
