Watauga Sheriff’s Office investigators are looking into an incident from late yesterday afternoon at a residence on NC 194 South near Vilas,

an incident that included reports of damage inside the home by a man who made his way inside, a suspect who fled the residence on foot and was arrested near-by by deputies.  The matter is being sorted out, according to Sheriff Len Hagaman, but the suspect was in custody last night being interview by detectives.
