Six injuries resulted from the second wreck in less than 24 hours at the Aho Convenience Center on US 321 between Blowing Rock and Boone.  Five of the injuries from were in one car, including three children.

The wreck, shortly before 3pm, involved a mini van and a Toyota Yaris, both north-bound.  The Toyota rounded the curve approaching the convenience center, then slammed into the rear of the van, loaded with a family from Bladenboro, NC.  Trooper K.D. Suttle said that the Yaris driver, 22-year old Max Grassette, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, said that two larger vehicles partially obscured his view until it was too late. He suffered a cut to the hand and his car was totaled.  Watauga Medics responded two ambulances, Blowing Rock Rescue one, along with trucks and personnel to clean up the site and direct traffic.  The five family members were all released after treatment at Watauga Medical Center, according to Suttle.  The site was almost exactly where a wreck occurred 23 hours earlier, Friday afternoon.
