Wofford College has released its schedule for the 2011 season.

And the Terriers have announced that they will entertain Appalachian State in Spartanburg, SC on October 1. The Mountaineers will play at Furman on November 5.

The Terriers, who were co-champions in the Southern Conference with ASU, also made the Football Championship Series Division I playoffs for the first time in two years (the last time was in 2008).
The Terriers (10-3 overall; 7-1 in the SoCon) were eliminated by SoCon-rival, Georgia Southern, in the national quarterfinals. Wofford will open the season at home against Presbyterian on September 3, and the Terriers travel to Clemson on September 10---their first meeting against the Tigers since 2001.
Eric Breitenstein, a two-time All-State performer during his prep days at Watauga High, turned in a stellar campaign for the Terriers last fall. The red-shirt sophomore ran for 1,639 yards and scored 22 touchdowns. He was also named a first-team All-America by The Sports Network, and he was named a second-team All-America by the Associated Press.
