A Boone man was arrested Tuesday on charges related to check fraud. Devan Jermaine Harper, age 26, was charged with two counts of felony identity theft.  Harper is alleged to have used account information from another person’s checks to make fraudulent purchases.

Harper turned himself in to Boone Police, then was taken before a Watauga county magistrate and given a $10,000 unsecured bond and a March 4th, 2011 court date.
