![]() The Furman University Paladins have released their football schedule for 2011, and they will face ASU in their annual battle on November 5 in Greenville, SC. The Paladins, who were 5-6 last season and missed the Football Championship Series Division I playoffs for the fourth consecutive year, have lost six straight against the Mountaineers. ASU defeated the Paladins 37-26 at Kidd Brewer Stadium on October 30. Furman hasn't beaten ASU since 2005, a 34-31 decision in Greensville.And the Paladins will have a different look on the sidelines this fall. Bruce Fowler, a Furman alum and a Paladin coach for 16 years, was named their new head coach on December 13. He replaces another Furman alum, Bobby Lamb, who resigned after the season ended on November 20. Lamb was 67-40 during his nine-year stay at Furman. The Paladins open the season September 3 at Coastal Carolina; they close out the regular season at Florida on November 19.
