Presley Named Third-Team TSN All-America PDF Print

Appalachian State quarterback DeAndre Presley capped off a sensational junior year by being named a third-team All-America by The sports Network.

Presley, who guided ASU (10-3) to a national quarterfinal appearance, finished third in voting for the Walter Payton Award on January 6. Presley received 13 first-place votes for 182 points. He finished behind Payton winner quarterback Jeremy Moser of Stephen F. Austin and quarterback Matt Barr. Moser received 37 first-place votes and ran away with the prize with 372 points; Barr received 17 first-place votes and finished with 262 points.
Presley completed 210-of-343 passes for 2,631 yards, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions, with a passing efficiency rating of 141.8. He also ran for 1,039 yards and 13 touchdowns on 162 attempts. ASU was ranked fourth in the final TSN Poll of the season.
