Teen murder suspects 18-year-old Tabitha Messina and
19-year-old Carlos Christopher still await extradition in an Avery County
detention center.
The pair were discovered early Monday in the Parkview Lodge
parking lot in Linville Falls after allegedly fleeing the scene of a double
homicide Sunday. The two are accused of killing Messina’s father, Richard
Messina, and girlfriend Sandra Cover. The victims were found beaten to death in
the bedroom of their South Euclid home, which is just outside Cleveland, Ohio.
The suspects waived their rights to an extradition
hearing. No word on when Ohio authorities will be by to transport the pair back
to the Cleveland area to face aggravated murder charges.
