| Accidental Shooting Injures Wilkes Man |

A Wilkes County man was injured Sunday morning when he dropped his 22-caliber pistol, causing it to fire. The 76-year old was struck in his right leg by the bullet, and sought help at the Boomer Volunteer Fire Department,
where he was met by first responders and awaited paramedics. The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Department is investigating, but concluded that the shooting injury was accidental.
