The University of Delaware marched its way to the Football Championship Series title game on Saturday afternoon.

The Blue Hens, who won a national title in 2003, defeated Georgia Southern 27-10 in the national semifinals. The Blue Hens will be making their first appearance in the national championship game since 2007. They were victimized by Appalachian State that season, despite having current Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco at their disposal.
The Blue Hens (12-2) will play Eastern Washington in the national finals in Frisco,  TX on January 7. Eastern Washington (12-2) advanced by knocking off Villanova in the national semifinals 41-31 on Friday night.

Villanova (9-5) eliminated ASU in the national quarterrfinals last Saturday at Kidd Brewer Stadium. The Wildcats were defending national champions.
Quarterback Pat Delvin of the Blue Hens threw for 137 yards and two touchdowns in the win; running back Andrew Pierce ran for 186 yards. Georgia Southern (10-5) saw its six-game winning streak come to an end. The Eagles turned the ball over five times.
