The Banner Elk Police Department is investigating a report of a Larceny from a Motor Vehicle where a ladies ring was taken along with a wallet.  The theft occurred on November 05th, 2010 in the parking lot of the Great Train Robbery. The suspect(s) entered an unlocked Jeep Grand Cherokee and removed the ring.  The ring is described as a ladies gold ring with a 1.81 Carat diamond.  Anyone with information about this or any other crime in Avery County is requested to call High Country Crimestoppers at 828-737-0125.  Anyone giving information leading to the arrest of suspects involved in crimes, recovery of stolen property or illegal drugs is eligible for a cash reward.  Remember, Crimestoppers wants your information, not your name.
