Terriers improve to 5-0 PDF Print

Wofford College kept the heat on Appalachian State by knocking off The Citadel 35-0 in Spartanburg, SC, on Saturday.

Eric Breitenstein paced a strong running game as he rambled for 76 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns. As a team, the Terriers (7-1; 5-0 in the Southern Conference) ran for 237 yards. On the season, Breitenstein, who leads the Terriers in rushing yards and scoring, now has 962 rushing yards on 147 attempts. and he has scored 102 points.
The win also keeps Wofford just one-half game behind ASU for first place in the SoCon standings. Wofford plays at ASU on November 13, a game that will be televised by SportsSouth at 3 pm, and will air on AM 1450, WATA.
The Terriers play at Samford next Saturday.
