Appalachian State University remained on top in both The Sports Network and FCS Coaches Polls that were released on Monday afternoon.

The Mountaineers (7-0 overall. 5-0 in the Southern Conference) received 136 first place votes in the TSN Poll, and 36 first-place votes in the FCS Poll. Jacksonville State, William & Mary, Stephen F. Austin and Villanova round out the top five in the TSN Poll; that same group makes up the top five in the Coaches Poll, only SFA is third and W&M is fourth.
Wofford (6-1; 4-0 in the SoCon), which trails ASU by one-half game for first place in the SoCon, is ranked ninth in TSN Poll and tenth in the Coaches Poll; Chattanooga, in third place in the SoCon and riding a five-game winning streak, is 20th in the TSN Poll and 23 in the Coaches Poll.
