The Southern Conference announced on Tuesday that the Nov. 13 football game between Appalachian State University and Wofford will kick off at 3 p.m. and be televised across the Southeast on SportSouth.

As part of the agreement between the SoCon and SportSouth, the final two weekends of the regular season were reserved as “wild cards” for the SportSouth’s “SoCon Saturday” game-of-the-week broadcast, allowing the network to air the games with the most championship and postseason implications on Nov. 13 and Nov. 20. Appalachian is currently 6-0 overall, 4-0 in SoCon play and ranked No. 1 nationally while Wofford is 5-1 overall, 3-0 in league action and ranked No. 9 nationally.
This marks the fourth-straight year and sixth time in seven seasons that the ASU-Wofford game will be televised. Most notably, the No. 2 Mountaineers drubbed the No. 3 Terriers, 70-24, on Oct. 31, 2008 in a nationally televised broadcast on ESPN2.
With the announcement, four of Appalachian’s final five regular-season games will be televised. This Saturday’s game at Western Carolina will also be the “SoCon Saturday” matchup on SportSouth, the following week’s home tilt against Furman will air on WMYA in Asheville, WMYV in the Triad and WLFL in the Triangle and the Nov. 20 regular-season finale at Florida will be shown on an outlet to be determined by the Southeastern Conference.
