Quarterback DeAndre Presley is the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row, and for the fourth time this season.

The Appalachian State junior, coming off probably his most ho-hum effort of the year, still put up big numbers last Saturday against The Citadel. Presley, who leads the nation in passer efficiency with a 176.1 rating, completed 14-25 passes for 241 yards and he also tied a school record with five touchdown tosses.
The last one, a 73-yard run-and-catch by Travaris Cadet with 1:28 left in the third quarter, broke the game open against The Citadel. Presley tied the school record of five touchdown passes set by Armanti Edwards against Wofford in 2008.
"He didn't look very sharp on Saturday," said ASU coach Jerry Moore. "He was off on some of his passes. Maybe not practicing all week might have had something to do with it (Presley suffered a mild head inujury during the closing stages of the Elon game on October 9). But the main thing is that he finished the game, and that's he's healthy."
The Apps (6-0 overall; 4-0 in the SoCon), off to their best start since 1995, travel to Cullowee to play Western Carolina Saturday in their annual battle for the Old Mountain Jug. Our coverage begins at 1 pm on AM 1450, WATA.
