![]() Eric Breitenstein turned in his best performance of the season Saturday night for the Wofford College Terriers. Breitenstein ran for a season-high 134 yards on just six carries and scored twice as the Terriers (2-1) defeated Union College (KY), an NAIA school, 48-10 in their home opener. Breitenstein scored on a 60-yard jaunt in the opening period, and a 68-yard run in the second quarter, which gave the Terriers a commanding 42-3 lead halftime lead. On the season, Breitenstein, a red-shirt sophomore, now has rushed four 282 yards and four touchdowns in his first three games. The Terriers have a bye week next Saturday; they open Southern Conference play at home against Furman on October 2. The Terriers play Appalachian State November 13 at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
