The warming weather marks the end of ski season at Ski Beech and Hawksnest. Both of those resorts have closed for the season. Sugar Mountain and Appalachian Ski resorts remain committed to staying open through March.
Both plan to offer skiing and snowboarding through Sunday, April first. Appalachian will hold the Meltdown Games on March 31st to celebrate the end of the season. Sugar Mountain will end the season with a snow burning party on Sunday afternoon, April 1st.
