Wofford College coach Mike Ayers has announced that Eric Brietenstein will get the starting nod at fullback on Saturday when the Terriers open the 2010 season at Ohio University.
Breitenstein missed most of last season with a knee injury. He was injuried during the second game of the season against Charleston Southern. Brietenstein, who was named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team in 2008, ran for 187 yards on 28 carries and three touchdowns before the injury. He received a medical red-shirt last fall. He ran for 395 yards on 59 carries and scored two touchdowns in 2008 as a true freshman. He also made two starts at fullback that season. Saturday's game with Ohio University begins at 7 pm. The Terriers play at Appalachian State on November 13. |
