The ribbon is cut—the task underway. New Watauga High School can simply be called Watauga High School now that the speeches, accolades—and most of the construction is done. Governor Bev Perdue seemed genuinely impressed by the facility and the foresight to create it. Hundreds of Watauga Citizens gathered to witness the transition to the new, then took the tour. Monday, it’s down to business, with Seniors arriving for orientation. First day of school for all of Watauga—August 11th. Click on 'Read More' for more photos
