Watauga High volleyball coach Kris Hagaman has announced her coaching staff for the 2010 season.
Hagaman has announced that Erin Flynn, the wife of Appalachian State University Sports Information Director Mike Flynn, will coach jayvee volleyball and be a varsity assistant. Robin Isaacs will be a varsity assistant coach. Flynn is a fifth-grade teacher at Green Valley Elementary School; Isaacs is a business teacher at WHS. Hagaman was named volleyball coach July 22. She replaces Kim Pryor, who resigned on July 13 to take an assistant coaching position with Mars Hill College, a Division II School in the South Atlantic Conference. Pryor led the WHS program for nine years (2001-2009). Fall practice for volleyball begins Monday, August 2. The schedule is as follows from August 2-4: Freshmen and Sophomores: If your last name begins with the letters A-L, tryouts are from 9-11 am; if your last name begins with the letters m-z, tryouts are from 11:30-1:30 pm. Juniors and Seniors: tryouts will be from 3-5 pm. |
