Trey Elder, who was a quality quarterback for the Appalachian State University football team, is back with the Mountaineers.
Elder, who was working s a wide receivers coach aat Byrnes High School in South Carolina, has resigned to accept a similiar position at ASU. His younger bother, Blake, is a wide receiver for the Mountaineers. Elder was a quarterback at Appalachian State from 2004-2007, posting a 7-1 record as a starter. He was most noted for guiding the Mountaineers to a 29-23 victory against Furman in the 2005 Division I-AA semifinal, which led to an eventual national championship. In all, he won three national titles at ASU. |
