The Watauga Juniors were eliminated from the state tournament at the Brevard Sports Complex in Pisgah Forest, NC Sunday afternoon.

Watauga, which dropped a 7-5 decision to King in Saturday's opening round, lost to East Asheville 16-2 in a consolation-round game on Sunday. Despite the quick exit from the state tournament, the Watauga Juniors, who defeated Wilkes American by the ten-run mercy rule in the district championship game last week, are two-time defending District 7 champions.
