Hayes Performing Arts Center Appoints Repositioning Team

In an effort to become more fiscally stable, the Hayes Performing Arts Center has hired a repositioning team that officials say will be responsible for working to develop a sustainable business model for the Hayes Center.

According to Rick Suyao of the Hayes Center, the team will be working with arts consultant, Diedre Simmons.

The team is scheduled to meet early next month and should develop their business plan over the next several months.

Suyao explained the repositioning team will report regularly to the Board of Trustees at the Hayes Center.

Back in October, Simmons interviewed 22 individuals in the region regarding the future of the Hayes Center. Simmons said two things were very clear from these meetings according to Simmons. One is that the Board and the community needs to find a way to reopen the Hayes Center, and the other is that the Hayes Center needs to be regional in scope.
