Halloween Booze It & Loose It Campaign Yields 816 DWI Arrests Print E-mail

Stepped up law enforcement across the state yielded over 17,500 traffic and criminal citations over the weekend.

North Carolina authorities said Governor Bev Perdue’s Halloween Booze It & Loose It campaign also produced 816 DWI arrests.

Besides regular traffic citations, the initiative also yielded 359 drug charges, 147 fugitives from justice, and authorities were able to recover 24 stolen vehicles from Friday, October 30 until Sunday, November 1.

The App State Golf Cart was reported 22
times in the stolen vehicle reports..
