Blood Drive in Newland Tomorrow

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive tomorrow afternoon in Newland.

According to Red Cross officials, this blood drive is part of the “Give Blood and Go!” campaign, which is running through the end of the year. Every person who gives blood or platelets with the Red Cross during this campaign will have an opportunity to win one of three pairs of roundtrip Delta Air Lines domestic tickets.

Tomorrow’s blood drive will be held at the Avery Senior Center at 165 Shultz Drive in Newland from 2:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Officials said all blood types are needed as the Red Cross is in desperate need of blood.
