downsized_1103091012a1.jpgThere are only three contested mayoral seats up for grabs in Ashe, Avery, and Watauga County, but town council or alderman seats are being voted on in all municipalities across the region.

The polls opened at 6:30 this morning and will remain open until 7:30 this evening.
