The accolades just keep rolling in for Appalachian State quarterback Armanti Edwards.

On Monday, Edwards, who burned Furman for 461 yards and six touchdowns (four on the ground and two through the air) was named The Sports Network National Offensive Player of the Week. It's the second time he's won the award in three weeks.

He was also named national offensive player of the week by the College Sporting News and offensive player of the week by the Southern Conference. Edwards, who will graduate in December, also became the first Division I player on Saturday to pass for 9,000 yards and rush for 4,000 yards in his career.

The Apps entertain Chattanooga Saturday at Kidd Brewer Stadium. Our coverage begins at 1:30 pm on WATA 1450 AM.
