High Country Military Mothers to Meet Next Weekend

The High Country Blue Star Mothers will meet next weekend at the National Guard Armory.

According to Gail Walker, of ASU’s Reich College of Education, the organization is for mothers in Ashe, Avery, or Watauga County who have sons or daughters serving in the military.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the chartering of a High Country Chapter of the National Organization of Blue Star Mothers. Nationally, the organization holds activities to support both the families and those serving in the military.
