Officials in Wilkesboro will take a look at the town’s spooky history beginning tomorrow.
Area paranormal enthusiast, Scott Nicholson, is hosting the event.
Nicholson said the Haunted Wilkes Paranormal Conference will include hands-on hunts of six notorious locations, as well as discussion panels that explore the meaning of supernatural phenomena.
Nicholson said Wilkesboro is the perfect place to hold the conference because the haunted history of Wilkes is so rich.
A few of the haunted locations in Wilkesboro include the Old Wilkes Jailhouse, the Robert Cleveland House, the former Smithy Hotel, and several others.
The conference begins tomorrow and will run through Sunday.
The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn in Wilkesboro, which is a two-mile drive from the nightly hunt sites. Registration costs $65 for the three-day conference, with one-day passes available for $35.
