Benefit Motorcycle Ride and Car Show Saturday

A benefit motorcycle ride and car show will be held this weekend to help a Watauga County man who was diagnosed with bile duct cancer in the spring.

The Mark Wellborn Full Throttle Motorcycle Ride and Car Show will also include a barbecue sale, a cakewalk, 50/50 tickets, children’s games and other activities.

The event will be held Saturday at Laurel Springs Baptist Church in Deep Gap.

Registration for the motorcycle ride will be held that from 9:00 until 10:30.

Mark has always been full throttle and we are praying he will be again. He sure is a nice young man and I hope the community supports this worthly cause. Sounds like a fun day!!!!!!!!

Mark, his mama and his daddy have been three of my best friends for years. Although I don't have a bike, I still plan to pay for a registration to be in the ride.

A big thanks to the organizers-Jon Howell, Donna Brown, Dr. Harrison, Emily Harrison and Megan Wellborn. You did a great job and a wonderful deed for the Wellborn family. Hope lots of money was raised!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lol:
