Hello, my name is Cindy and these are my new babies. Pepper Angelina Cafaro is a black Wire-hair Mini Dachshund and Data Picard Cafaro is a smooth red Tweenie Dachshund. Both of my babies are rescues. My passion is animals. I manage the Pet Patrol page on goblueridge.net.
My goal is to see that no animal ever remains lost or homeless. If you find or lose an animal please email me as much information as possible -- and a picture of the animal if you have one to petpatrol@goblueridge.net. I will post it on the Pet Patrol page. A Reminder: The www.wataugacounty.org/animalcontrol has many pets pass thru their facility. They ask that if you lose a pet to stop by their office with a poster or picture of your missing pet along with the date your pet went missing and any other pertinent information including contact information so they can hopefully identify and reunite lost pets and their owners.
The www.wataugahumanesociety.org reminds you that they do take in strays. If you have lost an animal, please check with them. You can call them @828-264-7865.
***Remember...PLEASE...have your pets spayed or neutered. It can improve and extend the life of your pet and it will cut down on the amount of unwanted animals!!!

Ten Commandments for Pet Owners
1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be very painful.
2.Give me time to understand what you want from me. Do not break my spirit with your temper, though I will always forgive you. Your patience and understanding will teach me more quickly those things you want me to learn.
3. Have me spayed or neutered.
4. Treat me kindly, my beloved friend, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for your kindness than mine. Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. After all, you have your job, your friends, your entertainment. I have only you.
5. Speak to me often. Even if I don't understand all your words, I understand your voice when it's speaking to me. Your voice is the sweetest sound I ever hear, as you must know by my enthusiastic excitement when your footsteps fall upon my waiting ear.
6. Please take me inside when it's cold and wet. I'm a domestic animal and am no longer accustomed to the bitter elements. I ask for little more than your gentle hands petting me. Keep my bowl filled with clean water; I cannot tell you when I'm thirsty. Feed me good food so that I may stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding, to be by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to share with you my life, for that is what I live for. However you treat me, I'll never forget it.
7. Don't hit me. Remember, I have teeth that could easily crush the bones in your hand, but I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I am not getting the right food, I've been out in the sun too long, or my heart may be getting old and weak.
9. Take care of me when I get old. You will grow old too.
10. When I am very old, when I no longer enjoy good health, please do not make heroic efforts to keep me going. I am not having fun. Just see to it that my trusting life is taken gently. And be with me on that difficult journey when it is time to say goodbye. Never say, "I can't bear to watch". Everything is easier for me when you are there. I will leave this earth knowing with my last breath that my fate was always safest in your hands.

A 5 year old male cat was lost on Circle Drive E off of Eagle Drive above the Boone golf course. He was lost on November 17, 2009. His name is Frodo. Neutered, short hair, black with yellow eyes. FOUND DOG
  Dora was picked up by a young lady as she was dodging traffic on 105. She was
brought to Friends for Life and showed at the mall on Wednesday. We are holding
her in hopes she will find her home. Penny took her to MTN TV as well. She
is currently safe and in a foster home. Not really sure what her breeding is however
we think she may be a mountain feist mix. She weighs about 12-14 pounds, female

LOST DOG
***PETER HAS A MEDICAL CONDITION AND NEEDS HIS MEDICATIONS!!!!!!
 We lost our American Foxhound about three weeks ago. I didn't know
about
GoBlueRidge until just this week. He goes by the name of Peter and was
lost in
the Zionville area. He is a master escape artist and found a way out
of our back
yard. He is about 8 years old, friendly toward people, and if he
is still
running around will be very skinny and probably have worn all the
skin off of
his pads. He has severe epilepsy and so it is imperative that he
get to the vet
if anyone finds him. Both our regular vet (Appalachian New
River) and the
Emergency Animal Clinic know Peter and will take him with no
questions asked if
someone finds him and is unable to reach us. They will get
in touch with us, it
is likely that he will be very sick.
Description: Anywhere between 30 and 65 pounds given the amount of time
he has
been gone. He is tri-colored, mostly tan, with a white chest and a
black saddle.
Peter is neutered and microchipped.
We miss him
desperately and are really worried about his epilepsy. He needs to
be back on
medication. Please help get Peter home!

FOUND DOG
We call him Bo and he appeared on our deck Halloween afternoon. We live on
Dugger Firetower Road off of Sampson Road in Watauga County. We are about mid
way between the parkway and Buffalo Cove Road. Bo is about 4-5 years old but
acts like a puppy. Loves to play fetch and tug of war. He responds to most
commands at once but we are working on his jumping and walking on a leash! He
is very strong and pulls me! He is extremely affectionate and friendly and gets
along well with our dog but the cats are afraid of him. He is house broken and

2 LOST PUPPIES
We have lost 2 male blue tick hound puppies in the Clarks Creek Road community
between Valle Crucis and Foscoe ON 11/09/2009. These puppies belong to my two children,
Dalton and Emma Grace.
The puppies are approx 3 months old. They do not have
collars on. One puppy, Rowdy, is heavier than the other and whines a lot. The
smaller of the two, Spike, is much more timid than his brother.

A male Border Collie went missing on Saturday, 10/17/2009 from Blackberry Road in Boone about 1 1/4 miles south of the Parkway overpass. His name is Jack, He is 15 years old and completely deaf. $500.00 REWARD FOR BRANDI'S SAFE RETURN!
A 4 month old brindle female pitbull was
taken from my house on 10-13-09. She is about 20 pounds now and her brindle is
dark brown with tan stripes. She has white tips on her paws and a white chest
with dark spots. Her name is Brandi and she will answer to it. I feel sure that
she is somewhere on Sampson rd or in Sampson. Please say on the broadcast she
was lost and not stolen in hopes the thief will bring her back for a reward. I

2 dogs were lost in the Deep Gap/Fleetwood area on 10/11/2009. One is a female Aussie Shepherd mix. Her name is Canada. She weighs about 60-65 pounds. She has been spayed. She is not wearing a collar. She is mostly white with some white patterns on her. She has bright light blue eyes.

A female Boxer mix has been lost today on 10/13/2009. She is 2 years old and her name is Ruby. She is microchipped (off-centered), she has a long tail (not cropped). She is Chestnut Brown, white patch on chest and black around her nose and eyes. She can be very timid around males. She is wearing yellow/gold collar and black harness. No tags. She was lost in the Grand Blvd. area. She frightens easily but she is very gentle.

 Lost Cat
Wilow may have been spotted on Cecil Miller Road in Boone as recent as 10/13/09, near Pine Ridge Condos. If you spot Willow, please call her Ashley at 828-719-6966. Owner is willing to pay a $50 reward for her return.
Willow was last seen by her owner on Thursday evening 5/28/09. She lives off of Russ Cornett RD in Boone, across the street from Apple Creek Estates. Willow is white with large dark spots and a "raccoon" tail. She is friendly and will also respond to the names "Beebo" and "Wee-Whoa."
