URGENT!
PLEASE HELP!!!
THE WATAUGA HUMANE SOCIETY
2010
ANIMEALS/COMMUNITY PANTRY PET FOOD DRIVE
The only growl that should be heard from a pet is a playful one…never one from its hungry tummy! Have you ever been hungry and not been able to get anything to eat?
The Watauga Humane Society operates a community pet food program and pantry. In conjunction with Meals on Wheels the Animeals program provides pet food for pet owners that are unable to obtain food otherwise. The Pet Food Pantry at the shelter, in conjunction with the Hunger Coalition, provides food for pet owners in the community that need assistance feeding their pets.
These programs cut down on the number of abandoned and surrendered pets because of the lack of food in the family.
These programs are in dire need. The pantry is empty! Pet food donations of all types are needed. Monetary donations are also accepted for the purchase of pet food. You may drop your donations at the radio station, Joe’s Italian Kitchen, Adam’s Lumber and Hardware, The Watauga Public Library, both RBC locations or at the shelter.
Can you go hungry through lunch today to help a pet NOT go hungry for a week? Skip lunch and donate a bag of pet food!
To arrange a pick-up call Cindy at 828-406-3328.
