Torch arrived in Lenoir!The first leg of the Special Olympics torch is over, according to Caldwell County Communications. According to Communications, the torch arrived in Lenoir at around 1:40. Watauga officers handed the torch to Caldwell officers at the Green Park Inn. Today marked the first day of the torch run- which will eventually bring the torch to Raleigh in time for the opening ceremonies of the Summer Special Olympics Games, June 1, 2, and 3.
