Two Boone Police Officers were recognized by Boone Police Chief Dana Crawford at Thursday's Boone Town Council Meeting.
Chief Crawford announced that the North Carolina Department of Justice Award has been presented to to Detective Katrina Eller for completing the Criminal Investigation Certificate Program. This training consists of a minimum of 500 hours of criminal investigations training in the areas of forensic science, death investigation, sexual assaults, fraud, property crimes, and burglary and robbery.
In addition, Detective Kevin Wilson has successfully fulfilled the requirements and obligations to acquire the Advanced Law Enforcement certification. This is the highest certification award given to law enforcement officers in North Carolina.
