Avery Vikings Shed Monkey in Overtime Win

     Avery High School's girls varsity  basketball team ended an 11-year losing streak against Mitchell High School Friday night. 

     Avery defeated the Mitchell Mountaineers 63-59 in overtime to win the Western Highlands I-A and 2-A Tournament.
