Be patient, Mountain Electric says PDF Print

Substations are out in Banner Elk, Cranberry, Linville and Newland according to Mountain Electric spokesmen.

Tennessee Valley Authority is working on the problem- but has yet to give them a time frame as to when the situation will be resolved. We have been assured they are working as quickly as they can- and they appreciate Avery’s patience. Power has been out just over three hours in Avery County.  Mountain Electric is unsure of what prompted the problem.
