Appalachian State University police are still on the lookout for an unknown black male believed to have assaulted a student in Trivette Hall last week.
The male is alleged to have grabbed the female’s arm, waist and buttocks when she walked out of the building. He is described to be a small black male of medium skin tone wearing an orange Polo shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 828-262-4555. While police are actively investigating, in the meantime there are steps you can take to protect yourself from predators. Always walk with a friend, especially in the dark, and be aware of your surroundings. ASU police encourage you to utilize your cell phone or one of the blue light emergency phones on campus if you do not feel safe.
