ASU grant to benefit India exchange program PDF Print

A $169,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education will be used to study global outsourcing and promote student and faculty exchanges with partner institutions in India, Appalachian State University Officials say.
The two-year project is being co-directed by International Education and Development associate vice chancellor Dr. Jesse Lutabingwa and Assistant Dean for Graduate and International Programs in the Walker College of Business Dr. Phillip Witmer. According to a statement, the grant will allow ASU to build valuable relationships with educational institutions and businesses in an increasingly important part of the world. Projects planned from the grant include new course development, student and faculty exchanges, faculty development and research, and assessment of outsourcing in the Carolinas.
