Sometimes solving a crime is less complicated when the suspect wears a tracking device. That was the case for Boone Police in the October 17th, arrest of Jason Lynn Brown, 30, the Zionville man charged with two counts of felony Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, three counts of misdemeanor Larceny, two counts of felony Financial Card Theft and three counts of misdemeanor Financial Card Fraud. The police release says Brown is alleged to have broken into two vehicles at the Harris Teeter parking lot, stealing several items, including credit cards.  Then Brown used those cards to make purchases at Little Caesars and Wal-Mart, according to Boone Police—all the while, Brown, who was on probation, was wearing a GPS tracker. Investigators were able to utilize GPS records and video surveillance to identify Brown and connect him—and his path—to all the crimes.  Jason Lynn Brown was set a $3,000 secured bond pending a November 21st court appearance.
