A Caldwell man was captured overnight in Longview after a 24-hour search following an incident in which gasoline was poured on the car of a woman and ignited. Luann McFalls came to the Burns Road home of Cloyd “Wayne” Burns to confront him over a break-in at her home, and he responded by smashing in the windshield with a cinder block, then pouring gas on the vehicle. McFalls told Dave Faherty she scrambled from the car as Burns lit the fire. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the fire, and Burns fled the scene. Caldwell authorities say Cloyd “Wayne” Burns is charged with Attempted Murder, Burning of Personal Property, Breaking Entering, Larceny, and Possession of Stolen Goods.  The Sheriff’s Office release says that he was considered to be armed and Dangerous, but apparently was arrested safely.
