The Avery County Sheriff/Municipal Drug Task Force has
five more names to go
in its outstanding warrant round-up. According to Frye,
Avery County law enforcement is trying to crack down on drug offenders. Friday,
officers began serving outstanding warrants on suspects all over Avery County.
So far, 17 individuals have been arrested. Some of the remaining suspects are
incarcerated in other counties, Frye says. He promises- Avery will get to them
eventually. Charges range from trafficking to drug possession. For more
