Tuesday, 11 September 2007 09:04

Avery County Sheriff/Municipal Drug Task Force's round up isn't quite over. According to Sheriff Kevin Frye, a few more names can be added to the list of those charged.

In addition to the fourteen individuals charged on Friday, three suspects face charges for possession with intent to sell and deliver controlled substances. 24-year-old Sherri Birchfield, 24-year-old Eric Stump and 27-year-old Simon Rose have all been charged.

There are still a few outstanding charges, Frye says, and some of the persons indicted are incarcerated in other facilities.

Additionally, 19-year-old Leland Penfield has been charged with breaking and entering and larceny for an incident that occurred in July at J's Market on Hwy 19E. While some stolen property has been recovered, Frye hopes to recover more in the near future.
