North Carolina judges will be monitored under a new
pilot program that’s expected to begin this fall.
The North Carolina Bar
Association’s Board of Governors approved the program to monitor the judges,
and, if it’s successful, a full-scale judicial evaluation could start as early
as next year. Not only could the program improve judges’ performances, it could
also give voters more information on judicial candidates.
