South Caldwell Mourns PDF Print
Monday, 27 August 2007 06:28

It’s the first day back for South Caldwell students, still grieving from the loss of a classmate last week.

Rising junior, 16-year-old Brittany Chester was killed in a car crash. Principal J. Michael Peake says students and faculty are mourning today. Counselors are on hand to assist, Peake says.

During announcements this morning, students and faculty observed a moment of silence, dedicated both to Chester’s family, and the family of last week’s other accident victim, 46-year-old Robin Gray Davis, who had a daughter at South Caldwell.

"We're doing what we can to address the needs of the students concerning our grieving, we're struggling through the grieving process," Peake said.

 The accidents occurred last Wednesday.
