Boone still in voluntary water shortage conditions PDF Print
Sunday, 26 August 2007 20:00

Mayor Loretta Clawson’s Friday declaration still stands for the Town of Boone.

Boone is officially in Stage 1 water shortage conditions.

The conditions are voluntary.

Citizens are asked to conserve water by limiting car washes and landscape watering, taking shorter showers, and waiting until they have a full load before using clothes and dish washers.

The declaration is a reaction to the recent drought- and the next step may be mandatory water conservation, Clawson says. Click here for the full declaration.
