Racecar driver supports Humane Society PDF Print
Wednesday, 22 August 2007 11:54

A crowd gathered at K-Mart today- and not just to shop.

Racecar driver Eric McClure was on hand. An animal lover, he posed for pictures with fans. To McClure, it was all about promoting spay-neuter programs. Humane Society volunteers like Kathy Copley say he exceeded their expectations and helped get the message to a new audience.

Statistics show men are less likely to spay and neuter pets, Copley says- and by having a racecar driver speak out about the issue, the Society hopes men will get the message.

It was quite a crowd, and Copley hopes this is a success the Society can repeat It wasn’t just about the message- Molly, a very friendly dog, was adopted within twenty minutes.
